The Department of Marketing and Logistics continues a long-term commitment to excellence in graduate education. The departmental faculty, recruited from nationally and internationally recognized universities, represents a wide range of teaching and research expertise. Graduates of the program pursue careers in a broad spectrum of industries. Background Courses (16.5 hours)

All students must fullfil the MBA Program's background course requirements. These background courses are equivalent to foundation courses of an undergraduate business program and will be waived where appropriate after evaluation of transcripts.

Core Courses (18 hours)

All students must fullfil the MBA Program's course requirements.

Concentration Courses (18 Hours)

6 hours required (or equivalency, approved by departmental advisor):

MKTG 5250
Information for Strategic Marketing Decisions (Undergraduate marketing majors will take MKTG 5250 in place of MKTG 5150: an additional marketing course will be chosen) (3 hours)

Effective Marketing Planning in Dynamic Environments (Must be taken in the final semester of the program) (3 hours)

9 hours selected from the marketing and logistics course at the 5xxx-level, including but not limited to:

3 hours of electives outside of the marketing discipline selected by the student in consultation with the departmental advisor

Professional Organizations

Marketing MBA students who meet the academic qualifications are eligible for membership in Mu Kappa Tau, the National Honor Society for Marketing. The Department of Marketing and Logistics also sponsors two student organizations that are available for graduate students, the American Marketing Association and the Logistics Students Association.
